I love Disneyland just as much as I love Disney World. Over the years my husband and I have visited regularly and we’re always on a mission to find the most delicious treats while we’re there. We even have a rule: we can try anything we like as long as we share it. So today I’m sharing with you where to find the BEST food at Disneyland Resort!
Restaurants
First, let’s start off with a few places that are definitely worth making reservations. Here are my top 5 restaurants at Disneyland Resort:
1) Blue Bayou Restaurant at Disneyland Park
This restaurant is located INSIDE the Pirates of the Caribbean ride! The food is New Orleans-themed (because it’s located in New Orleans Square); I love the gumbo, sweet potato rolls, and the herb-crusted rack of lamb. You can book this as part of the Fantasmic! Dining Package and get VIP seating at the show.
2) Cafe Orleans at Disneyland Park
Located just outside Blue Bayou you’ll find Cafe Orleans. This is the perfect lunch spot. They’ll typically have live jazz playing and you can get a view of Rivers of America. It’s home to one of Disneyland’s most famous items: the Monte Cristo Sandwich (which you can also find at Blue Bayou).
3) Carthay Circle Restaurant at California Adventure Park
We celebrated our 1st anniversary at Carthay Circle, and it’s become custom to return on every trip now. It’s themed after the famous theater where Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs premiered in 1937. It features seasonal cuisine and a glamourous, Hollywood-esque atmosphere. This can be booked as part of the World of Color Dining Package for VIP views of the show.
4) Steakhouse 55 at the Disneyland Hotel
Speaking of Hollywood glamour, you’ll want to check out Steakhouse 55. It’s named for the year Disneyland opened and is known for its dry rub bone-in rib-eye and 24-layer chocolate cake (yes, you read that right). I also love their white chocolate Bavarian mousse, which is perfect for those who can’t have the Nutella in the chocolate cake.
5) Napa Rose at Disney’s Grand Californian Resort & Spa
Full disclosure: This is the only restaurant on this list that I haven’t personally dined at, but it’s only because I’m a picky eater. However, it comes so highly recommended from our team that I had to include it! This award-winning restaurant celebrates California cuisine, as well as its wine. It is the perfect restaurant for a date night or a celebration.
Best Food
Now let's talk about the best individual items at the parks!
You can get all but one of these without any reservations; the exception is the Monte Cristo, which can only be found at Cafe Orleans or Blue Bayou Restaurant.
