What are your favorite Walt Disney World attractions? You know which ones I’m talking about – the rides and shows that are at the top of your list when you head to the parks. Or just the ones you can’t end the day without enjoying. While you’ll never get bored of these personal favorites, chances are you’d also love to experience something new. Thankfully, Disney offers plenty of opportunities for interactive and ever-changing attractions. Here are 10 that you’ll never get tired of!
1 – Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
Starting over in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom, we have Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. In this ride, you’ll board a star cruiser and use your laser to help Buzz defeat Emperor Zurg. You can spin your vehicle a full 360 degrees, so you’ll be shooting at targets all around the Gamma Quadrant. Every ride is a chance to beat your last score!
2 – Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor
Also located in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom, Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor is a fun afternoon break spot. In this 11-minute show hosted by Mike Wazowski, you’ll be entertained by monsters looking to collect laughs to power the city of Monstropolis. They actually talk with the audience (and include guests in the show via a large video screen). You can even submit your own jokes!
3 – Enchanted Tales with Belle
In Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom, you’ll find Belle’s cottage right next to the Beast’s castle. Here you can join Lumiere in recreating the story of how Belle and the Beast fell in love. Guests (mostly kids) get to play roles in the show, and Belle herself appears to join in the fun. Each performance has a character all its own!
4 – Test Track
Heading over to Future World at EPCOT, you’ll find Test Track. Here you can design your own virtual concept vehicle and test it along a series of obstacles and road conditions. The grand finale races you around the track at speeds of up to 65 mph! While the ride itself doesn’t change, you’ll be able to watch the performance stats from your designs as you test them out.
5 – Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
One of the newest Walt Disney World attractions, this ride is also the most interactive. It can be found in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios. Here you’ll be selected for a job aboard the Millennium Falcon: pilot, gunner, or engineer. Your ride experience will be different based on how skilled your team is. But don’t worry – even rookie pilots will have fun at the controls!
6 – Toy Story Mania
Over in Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios, you’ll shrink down to the size of a toy and compete in midway games aboard Toy Story Mania. There are five different shooting games to play, all using Disney’s popular 4-D technology (including some special 3-D glasses). You’ll want to ride again and again just to up your scores, plus you’ll want to be on the lookout for secret targets and “Easter eggs”.
7 – The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
Looming at the end of Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood Studios, you can’t miss the Hollywood Tower Hotel. This is your invitation to experience the Twilight Zone for yourself. Here you’ll board a service elevator and rise up to 157 ft in the air before being dropped 13 stories. The best part? The drop sequence is random. So you never know exactly when that next drop is coming.
8 – Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith
Just next door to the Hollywood Terror Hotel, you’ll find G Force Records, the best label on Sunset Boulevard. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is a thrilling ride, launching you from 0 to 57 mph in 2.8 seconds. You’ll also experience three inversions, making it one of the only Walt Disney World attractions to take you upside down (in fact, it’s currently the only one). And did I mention that it’s in the dark? Each train features a different Aerosmith soundtrack, so you can sing along to a different medley each ride.
9 – Star Tours – The Adventures Continue
Heading over to Echo Lake in Hollywood Studios, you’ll find the ever-popular Star Wars – The Adventures Continue. Here you’ll board a Starspeeder to take a trip through the Star Wars galaxy. Your journey features 21 random segments with over 700 possible ride experiences – one ride you may find yourself zooming around AT-ATs on Hoth and the next landing on Batuu (home of Black Spire Outpost, a.k.a. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge).
10 – Kilimanjaro Safaris
In the Africa section of Animal Kingdom, you can board a safari truck for a ride through Harambe Wildlife Reserve. This breathtaking area is home to 34 species, including real-life giraffes, elephants, cheetahs, rhinos, and lions. Since the animals roam freely around large habitats, you never know what you might spot on your expedition! Be sure to have your camera ready (and secure – this ride gets bumpy).
Which of these Walt Disney World attractions would you love to experience again?
